3. Pay for your minutes when you need them. What happens is: if you don’t pay your bill, you don’t have service. There’s no question about it. You pay first, then you get minutes to use.
4. Only pay for the minutes you use. If you only use 200 minutes a month, then that’s all you need to pay for. Or if you can only afford to use 200 minutes a month…
5. Allows for more control. Say you’ve got kids in the house who run up the cell phone bill. This way they only use what they’ve got, and you can control how much to pay.
CONS:
1. There’s an expiration date on your minutes. Usually the cut-off time is 30 days. So you pay $20 for 200 minutes, and they expire in 30 days. There is no roll-over plan.
2. The cost of minutes. Minutes will almost always cost more on prepaid plans. But consider the options… there are no deposits for the phone, there is no contract, no credit check.
3. That’s all! It’s quite easy–buy a phone, then buy your minutes. Use up your minutes. Buy more minutes. Couldn’t be easier…
